LAMDA5000 Large-Scale Laser Powder DED Additive Manufacturing System

Large-scale laser powder Directed Energy Deposition additive manufacturing system for oversized metal components. 5,000 x 2,500 x 1,600 mm work envelope.

Machine Information

Laser powder directed energy deposition additive manufacturing system engineered for large, complex metal components. With a 5,000 x 2,500 x 1,600 mm build envelope and simultaneous 5-axis DED (with 2 turning axes on the DED head), the LAMDA5000 enables high-precision deposition on complex free-form surfaces for industries such as shipbuilding, aerospace, oil & gas, and automotive tooling.

NIDEC's advanced DED technology incorporates real-time melt pool monitoring and high-speed feedback control to maintain consistent material properties and high part quality over the entire build. Integrated AI and machine learning-based anomaly detection further protect against defects and process drift.

A unique nozzle design with local shielding eliminates the need for a full environmental chamber, simplifying operation and reducing overall production costs. An optional second powder feeder supports gradient structures and multi-material builds, expanding design freedom and application possibilities.
